Advanced Construction
Our innovative design is a light weight carbon fiber/composite structure using the “Monocoque” construction technique. The Monocoque structure supports the structural load by using the skis exterior structure, as opposed to using an internal frame that is then covered with a non-load-bearing outer skin. By constructing a stronger exterior structure; the heavy internal frames and braces are eliminated. Whether it’s an aircraft ski or a high performance aircraft, this construction technique combined with using Aerospace/aircraft composite materials results in an incredibly strong, light weight product.

Our skis were designed using Solid Works CAD and the molds were cut using a 3-axis CNC router to create a perfect digitally designed and cut ski profile. Our manufacturing and design experience comes from more than 18 years of building award winning high performance composite aircraft. The ski is designed with a flat top and when anti-skid tape is applied to this surface becomes a place to stand when doing maintenance or to help getting in and out of the plane.

Designed and Built to ASTM Standards.
A sheet of UHMW is applied to the bottom of each ski to facilitate a smooth, non-stick slide on the snow and for wear resistance. The skis are standard with 0.060” thick UHMW but can be fit with a heavier thickness for your requirements.
We use a welded steel bracket for attaching the ski to the landing gear. The bracket is built to accommodate the 6.00x6, 8.00x6 and 8.50x6 tire sizes. So, all three tire sizes can be used on our skis.
Our skis are the perfect choice for Light Sport Aircraft due to our high strength to weight ratio. The low gross weight restrictions for Light Sport Aircraft do not allow for heavy accessories.

Our LSA ski tested to over 6000 pounds.
